Adult Workshops
We are all
aware of the training that athletes do in order to maintain
their fitness for their sport. We
are also aware of the amount of practice that musicians and
dancers do. Actors also have to maintain their fitness for acting.
Some do it by constantly being in plays, others are unable to
commit more than one night a week yet wish to continue to practice
as actors. This workshop is designed for all actors to allow
them to continue to practice their art to whatever level they
are able to achieve at their own rate. Once an actor has paid
the fee for their first term they are able to continue at half
price for as long as they wish.
The
Adult Workshop comprises of warm up procedures, movement, voice,
improvisation,
characterization, mime, introduction to stage fights, and styles
of acting. In addition to the workshop
there are three specific levels of achievement; Level One, for
the less experienced, Level Two for
those with some experience, and Level Three for those who are
looking for advanced work or a
master class. All levels should attend the workshop.
Level One - is designed for those who have little or
no previous experience and are looking for a
way of preparing for an audition. It concentrates on preparation
of audition pieces both modern and
period.
Level Two - is designed for those who have had some
experience and are looking to extend their range. They will
work on short extracts from scripts to explore specific characterization,
movement, vocal demands and ensemble.
Level Three - is designed for those who are
experienced and wish to further develop their abilities.
They will work in depth on a major role.
Times
The Adult Workshop is held ay 6.00pm on Tuesdays and runs for
3 hours.
Fees
The
first term of enrolment is $110.00 Subsequent terms are $55.00
provided they follow immediately.
For example those who enrolled in Term 2 this year and wish
to continue into term 3 need only pay $55.00. If they skip a
term and decide to come to Term 4, they will have to pay the
full $110.00.
