Shakespeare’s iconic comedy Much Ado About Nuthink is a classic tale of mischief and romance where ‘he said she said’ takes on a whole new meaning, all set in and around a modern-day Queensland country pub.
Benedick and Beatrice take on the bickering-enemies-to-lovers trope, and Claudio and Hero can never seem to get the timing right for their young love. The scheming Don John will do anything to undermine his sister, local mayor Donna Pedro, who fancies herself as a matchmaker.
The two couples’ romances are fraught with miscommunications and interruptions. But when true character is revealed, it will determine who makes it down the aisle … and with whom.
