Our Musical Theatre Workshop is designed for teenagers who are interested in pursuing the bright and colourful world of Musical Theatre. Each week, students work with qualified tutors to develop their acting techniques, voice (including singing – solo, chorus and harmonies), dance training, rehearsal processes, audition practise and performance skills.
This class is suitable for all abilities, with a big focus on fun.
Course Content
The Musical Theatre Workshop is designed to give students a thorough understanding of some of the many techniques and skills used in musical theatre. Each week, students will work with their tutor in the areas of voice, movement and acting training. Tutors in our Musical Theatre Workshop provide focuses on acting techniques, voice (including singing – solo, chorus and harmonies), movement, rehearsal processes, auditioning skills and performance.
Performance Opportunities
Students will have the opportunity to perform at the student showcase at the end of terms 2 and 4, allowing them to display the skills they have gained from the course to friends and family.
Eligibility
No previous experience is required for this class. Students must be turning 13 years old in the year they enrol, and no older than 17 years old upon completion of the school year.
Workshops can be paid for upfront via our website, over the phone, or by invoice. Payment plans are available – just give our friendly office staff a call on 3369 2344.
Absolutely! Children are welcome to attend a trial class on the first day of term – please call the office or email info@artstheatre.com.au so your child can be put on the roll prior to the trial. Trial classes cost $30 which will be deducted from enrolment costs if the child proceeds.
