Brisbane’s very own Doctor Who companion is coming home!
Fresh from her guest appearance in 2022’s “The Power of the Doctor”, Janet Fielding will talk about her life, career and WHO knows what else at Brisbane Arts Theatre on April 23.
“A Day with Janet Fielding” will allow Doctor Who fans to get up close and personal with the only Australian companion in the show’s history, with an in-depth interview plus Q&A session.
Professional photos with Janet and autograph signing will be available for purchase.
Guests will also be able to interact with Doctor Who icons including the Daleks, Cybermen, the TARDIS, and even the Third Doctor’s car Bessie!

Born in Brisbane, Janet studied journalism at the University of Queensland before moving to the UK to become an actor.
She’s best known as Tegan Jovanka, the flight attendant who wandered into the TARDIS in 1981, becoming a companion to Tom Baker’s Fourth Doctor, before embarking on many adventures with Peter Davison’s Fifth Doctor.
Janet left acting to become an advocate for women in film and television, a cause she continues to champion. She also worked as a theatrical agent, including representing Paul McGann when he became the Eighth Doctor.
She has continued to play Tegan in a number of Big Finish audio dramas, and in 2022 joined Jodie Whittaker for the Thirteenth Doctor’s final adventure, “The Power of the Doctor”.
